Dear All,
It's been finalized. P'Paiwat is going back to Chula Hospital for another operation kha. After getting the second opinion, his elder sister and I had decided to take P'Paiwat to Chula Hospital tomorrow. The operation will be on Monday. This time it's the shunt that was implanted in his skull to regulate the spinal fluid that's been malfunctioned. The operation is to replaced the shunt kha. It's expected to eleviate P'Paiwat's inability to move somewhat. The doctor couldn't guarantee that it will work 100%. But we hope that it will at least help his brain to function better.
Will keep you all posted kha.

Dear All,
I'm very thankful for all the kind messages you've been sending. They keep me going from day to day.
I'm also very happy to report that P'Paiwat has just had the operation. It's been pushed forward to tonight since the neurosurgeon is going to be busy tomorrow with two cases. His resident apprentice has kindly suggested that P'Paiwat's conditions could worsen if they postponed the operation. At first I thought I might have to take P'Paiwat home again when one of the residents came to talk to me in the pre-admission office. He wasn't one of the neurosurgeon team that visited P'Paiwat in the ER, hence, not very friendly nor very understanding.
Luckily, P'Paiwat's elder sister has asked one of the team for her cell number. So I called her and she put things in motion, albeit rather slowly. But I'm not complaining. P'Paiwat went into the operation room before 8 pm and came out just before 10 pm, with both eyes puffy and the oxygen mask on his nose. Nop and I followed the two technician who wheeled the bed with P'Paiwat in it back to his room in ¸¹Ò¤ÒáÃا෾ building, room 210, bed 1. It's a shared room so Nop cannot stay overnight. We waited till 10.30 to make sure that P'Paiwat was resting comfortably before we left. This ward is for neurosurgery cases and not a very large one--only 29 beds and all in shared rooms. Even the toilet and the bathrooms are shared. The visiting is between 10 am to 8 pm.
Tomorrow P'Paiwat might be able to move to a special room if his younger sister could get in touch with the hospital director and a special is available for him. Usually the director has a room quota at his disposal. Today is very full for patients waiting for a room. Some were told not to come to the hospital because of the room shortage.
So I consider myself very lucky, to be able to get P'Paiwat a room and an operation, with the help of the two aspiring residents. I'm sure they will become very good neurosurgeons in the future.
Will keep you posted about P'Paiwat's room tomorrow kha.
In the meantime, have a good night.
